CHAPLAIN'S CORNER

Dedicated to Christian ministry within the institutional environment!

That we would fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, who regarding our salvation is the: Author and Perfector, Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Inaugurator and Consummator, the Vine in whom we must surely live our lives-the very Tree of Life itself!

FOR THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS IS TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; BUT UNTO US WHICH ARE SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD!
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT: We Affirm;

1. That evidence for God's existence is clearly seen in what God has made.

2. That the knowledge of God that is necessary for salvation is found exclusively in Christ's gospel.

3. That the Holy Bible is the final authority concerning the life of Jesus Christ.

4. That God's Holy Spirit enables his Children to understand God's written word.

5. That in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, of one power, substance and eternity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

6. That God is in control of everything that transpires.

7. That God has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world was laid.

8.That God created the heavens and earth and all that is in them.

9. That man is created for the purpose of glorifying God and enjoying him in glory.

10. That in rebellion man gave up the glory of the immortal God for the worship of idols.

11. That the wages of this rebellion is eternal death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

12. That God's only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) was chosen of God to be the Mediator between God and man; the Prophet, Priest and King; the Head and Savior of his Church; the Heir of all things and Judge of the world.

13. That this only begotten Son who is truly and eternally God, did in the fulness of time take upon himself man's nature. With two complete yet distinct natures (Divinity and humanity) inseparably joined together in one person, without change, mixture or ambiguity.

14. That our deserved punishment was met in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.

15. That those belonging to Jesus Christ are eternally secure.

16. That faith which holds on to Jesus Christ and his righteousness is the sole instrument of right standing before God.

17. That to as many as have received Jesus Christ by faith, they are the adopted sons of God.

18. That those born of God's Spirit will progress in holiness as they march unto glory.

19. That repentance is turning from sin to embrace Jesus Christ, and this holding on to Jesus means we are forever pulled in the right direction.

20. That if we confess Christ before men he will confess us before his Father in heaven.

21. That the Scripture teaches us what things please God. Thus, they are every Christian's rule for faith and conduct.

22. That we are not to forsake the assembling together with other believers.

23. That prayer is the privilege of every child of God.

24. That if we confess our sins he will forgive us of our sins.

25. That the promises of God are sure.
